Jackson Teece was engaged to take the established brand presence of Sydney’s Phoenix Restaurants, and tailor it to the surroundings of Brisbane. A dynamic meeting point for Yum Cha enthusiasts, this restaurant brings to life the colours, aromas and tastes of China.

The design marries Phoenix’s brand with a sophisticated twist on traditional Chinese streetscapes. Using a strong Chinese palette of red, black and gold, the interior design creates an engaging and moody ambience. The red glow from the pendant clusters is reminiscent of Chinese lanterns, while dark-stained timber dowels encompass and protect the space in a way that reflects China’s towering bamboo forests.

For those seeking an exclusive dining experience, the 20 seat private dining room boasts a full-height, book-matched Calacatta marble wall, custom velvet lounge and feature pendant lighting. These intricacies evoke a secluded and sophisticated Chinese dining experience.

Another two private dining rooms offer their own distinctive flair with coffer lit ceilings, and a timber and brass wall detailing custom fluted glazing. This creates a perfectly private and intimate dining and function space.
