Shibuya Miyashita Park Highlight

Working in collaboration with Nikken Sekkei Ltd and Takenaka Corporation in Tokyo, we were commissioned as design architect for the concept and design of the facade of this retail and recreational complex in the vibrant Shibuya Ward in Central Tokyo.

The façade design incorporates a series of canopy like covers that frame the building and rooftop garden with planter boxes at the base. Over time the greenery will cover the mesh structures, providing a connection to nature and increasing green space in Tokyo’s dense urban setting.
