PROJECT

SYDNEY TOWN HALL

Heritage & Conservation Public & Tourism
  • Client:

    City of Sydney

  • Location:

    Sydney, NSW Australia

Jackson Teece’s long relationship with Sydney City Council has provided the opportunity to maintain and preserve Sydney Town Hall – Australia’s largest and most ornate late 19th century civics building.

The project has involved a trusted collaboration with council heritage and management staff, contractors, stone masons and specialist contractors.

A landmark that dominated the Sydney skyline for over a century, the clocktower has long served as a symbol of government and community. Our design, installation and stabilisation of its framework proved to be an incredible challenge, but this success has given this historic structure a new lease on life.

  • Facade and Sandstone Inspection on the Clock Tower

Amongst diverse spaces located in the hall, our work also includes zinc flashing upgrades and sandstone facade repair and cleaning, accessibility and disability compliance and general architectural consultation.

  • Hour bell inspection in the Clock Tower
