Jackson Teece was invited to design one of the apartment types for the display suite of the Yokohama tower, a landmark development that includes 459 apartments across 42 storeys. The tower, which stands at approximately 178 meters, features communal areas on levels 1, 2, 5, 39, and 42, including a Sky Lounge and Global Sky Commons.

The target buyers for the development are wealthy and international, seeking ample communal facilities. The display suite showcases three apartment types: a 1-bedroom, a 2-bedroom, and a penthouse apartment. Jackson Teece was responsible for designing the 2-bedroom apartment, which was completed in August 2021.

The design concept was inspired by the history and culture of Yokohama as a port city that has welcomed international residents since the mid-19th century. The apartment features a herringbone pattern of timber flooring and chic materiality that reflect modern classic elements found in Yokohama’s architecture. Bronze metal details and elegant stone accents add a touch of luxury to the apartment design.

The completed 2-bedroom apartment is an attractive option for potential buyers seeking a high-end living experience. The Yokohama tower is set to become a new benchmark for premium living in Japan, offering impressive communal facilities and stunning design features.
