Will Pereyra from Bluescope dropped into our Sydney office to present Senior Associate Trevor Williams and Design Director Damian Barker, with the Lysaght Inspirations Design Awards won in the Overall and the Commercial and Industrial Buildings categories, for The Waterhole Café at Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
The café’s exceptional structure has an elliptical building plan with rammed earth walls radiating out to the 360 ° landscape views and contains four undercover open-air dining areas, cladded with Lysaght’s LONgLINE 305, and showcases the reverse theatre stage perspective principle.
The Waterhole Café proves to be a small but striking building. Congratulations to all involved in making this space a reality!
