INTERIOR DESIGN LEAD – SYDNEY (OR BRISBANE)

We’re seeking an Interior Design Lead with approximately 15 years’ experience who is passionate about Design, Culture and the built environment, and who will play a pivotal role within our Interiors team—delivering projects across NSW, Queensland and Japan
Our portfolio is diverse, offering opportunities across large-scale mixed-use, multi-residential, seniors living & aged care, social & affordable housing, hospitality, workplace, retail and commercial.
THE ROLE
Lead interior design from concept through delivery, championing design excellence and technical rigor. You will mentor and grow a high-performing team, coordinate closely with our architecture leaders, guide documentation and specifications, and build strong relationships with clients, consultants and builders to realise outstanding outcomes.YOU MUST HAVE
15+ years’ experience in interior design across multiple project typologies
Tertiary qualification in Interior Architecture/Interior Design (or Architecture with strong interiors focus)
Proven leadership of teams on complex, multi-stakeholder projects from briefing to delivery
Advanced Revit understanding and a high level of technical construction knowledge (detailing, documentation, joinery, services coordination)
Demonstrated strength in concept design, spatial planning, materiality, and FF&E specification
Excellent client-facing skills, presentation ability and written communication
Strong project stewardship: program, quality, and coordination with consultants and contractors
A strong work ethic and eye for detailNICE TO HAVE
Experience in seniors living/health, hospitality or workplace fit-outs
Knowledge of Australian codes, accessibility and compliance pathways

DESIGNER / SENIOR DESIGNER (Architecture) - SYDNEY AND BRISBANE
Jackson Teece is a multidisciplinary architectural and interior design studio with offices in Sydney and Brisbane. We deliver design-led, contextually responsive projects across NSW, Queensland and Asia. Our work spans large-scale mixed-use, multi-residential, seniors living & aged care, social & affordable housing, hospitality, workplace, retail and commercial.
ROLE PURPOSE
Contribute to (Designer) / lead (Senior Designer) the design and delivery of projects from concept through documentation, championing design quality, technical rigour and collaborative teamwork.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive concept design, spatial planning and design development aligned to project briefs and studio standards.
Produce clear, coordinated Revit documentation; integrate services and consultant inputs; oversee detailing and specifications.
Prepare presentations, reports and client communications; participate in workshops and approvals processes.
Coordinate with internal architecture and interiors leads; liaise with clients, consultants and builders to resolve design and technical issues.
Support (Designer) / mentor and quality-review (Senior Designer) team members to build capability and consistency.
Steward program, deliverables and quality, contributing to risk, compliance and buildability reviews.YOU SHOULD HAVE:
Designer: 3–6 years post-grad experience; strong Revit proficiency; solid technical construction knowledge; confident communicator with a sharp eye for detail.
Senior Designer: 7–10+ years’ experience on complex, multi-stakeholder projects from briefing to delivery; advanced Revit and documentation capability; proven coordination and team leadership.
Tertiary qualification in Architecture (or Interior Architecture with strong building focus).
Demonstrated strength in design thinking, materiality and façade/plan resolution.
Excellent written, visual and verbal presentation skills; professional, client-facing manner.
Strong work ethic, accountability and collaborative approach.NICE TO HAVE
Experience in seniors living/health, hospitality or workplace projects.
Knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards, accessibility and compliance pathways.
Site experience and familiarity with contract administration.
Registration and/or Design & Building Practitioner accreditation (Senior level).WHAT WE OFFER

We are currently working on a wide range of projects across the living sector, hospitality and commercial and we are looking for an Interior Designer who is driven and passion to deliver interesting projects.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Work on and contribute to all project phases: Sketch Design, Design Development, Planning and Documentation

We are looking for an Architectural Graduate with a passion for Architecture, you will be working directly with the Senior Architects and Director, working within the architectural team, you will be involved in all phases of design and documentation for a number of exciting projects.

Have an understanding of the NCC and relevant Standards

Massing or Visualisation experience is an advantage
