This new facility forms part of a Warrigal Care Village in the new beachside community of Shell Cove, lying between the Southern Highlands and the Pacific Ocean. Jackson Teece was engaged to provide full architectural services for this idyllic setting.

The Village includes 48 Apartments and 33 Villas (by another architect), community hub and residential care home oriented around a large public open space or ‘Village Green’.

With a focus on local community and easily accessible amenities, our design works gently with the contours of the site taking careful account of its relationship with the adjacent Community Village apartment and villas. Incorporating internal courtyards and centring common areas around these shared external spaces provides warm naturally lit areas at the heart of the building. This ensures a secure outdoor environment for the enjoyment of residents, visitors and staff alike. This interconnectedness amongst internal and external spaces stimulates social activity and a greater sense of community.

The new care home will provide for 128 beds over two levels above the ground level community hub where residents from all over the village and surrounding areas are encouraged to come and enjoy the facilities including three large bistro style dining areas, café, hairdressing salon, Club Connect, gym, and the myriad of modern amenities that enhance happiness and wellbeing.
