PROJECT

ANGLICARE ROOTY HILL

Architecture Completed Sydney Senior Living & Residential Care Masterplanning
  • Client:

    Anglicare

  • Location:

    Rooty Hill, NSW Australia

In a community-focused initiative, Anglicare partnered with Jackson Teece to examine better standards of living for disadvantaged aged citizens.

Exploring a diverse collection of unit typologies and configurations, the master plan stemmed from a central idea of safe and secure housing for at-risk individuals. Functional spacing and clearly defined access walkways ensure a socially vibrant and positive facility that invites interaction and connection.

In total, the village accommodates165 retirement living units, a community centre for residents, a 90 bed residential care facility and 24 affordable residential living units for those at risk of homelessness or with accessibility issues. In addition, a 4 storey retail/ space activates and enhances the street frontage and overall amenity, while providing village needs integrated with the local services.
